The Dogwood is a “neighborhood gourmet” restaurant, offering exceptional food in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Its menu varies with the seasons, and it sources as much of its ingredients from local farms practicing sustainable agriculture. In 2008, The Dogwood won Baltimore Magazine’s Best Sustainable Restaurant award. The Dogwood is also partnered with the Chefs & Hosts In-The-Making Institute, a scholarship-only, culinary / hospitality institute for those recovering from addiction, homelessness, and incarceration. The restaurant provides real-world training for apprentices as they attend complementary weekly classes.
