The Lexington Farmers’ Market will be celebrating their 36th season this year. Many special events are planned including cooking demonstrations, craft tables for children, book signings by local authors, the Fourth Annual Farm Tour and the Second Annual “Taste of the Farm in the City” dinner. Please join us every week to shop for your favorite fresh produce, eggs, meats, cheeses, flowers, bedding plants, honey, wine, body care products, specialty items and more! The Lexington Farmers’ Market will be open every Saturday from April 9th through the end of November in Cheapside Park next to the old Fayette County Courthouse on Main St. Sunday, April 10th will mark the opening of the Southland Drive market. This market runs every Sunday through October 30th from 10am to 2pm. Beginning May 3rd, growers will set up at the corner of Maxwell Street and South Broadway from 7am to 4pm every Tuesday and Thursday. The market now accepts EBT and debit cards. Cards can be swiped at the Lexington Farmers’ Market information table in exchange for tokens that can be used just like cash.
