At Highlands the traditions of the American south meet the traditions of the south of France . Buttery colored walls donned with vintage French posters, warm lighting and crisp white linens help create an inviting and comfortable setting for business dinners, special occasions, or just a late supper for a weary traveler. Since 1982, Highlands has served a daily changing menu informed by classic French techniques and incorporating the foods of the region. Fresh gulf seafood, locally grown organic produce, and sustainably raised poultry, beef, veal, lamb and game are the foundations of the dishes created by James Beard Award winner Chef Frank Stitt. The bar opens at 4:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday and dinner is served 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
