Café Miranda

One of the first fine dining restaurants in Rockland, and still a total favorite of locals and visitors alike, Cafe Miranda sports a large and varied menu featuring everything from vegetarian to Italian offerings. The menu changes daily, yet the mission tooffer “a wide variety of handmade soulful ethnic and American styles of food, wine and desserts by a dedicated and professional long-term staff at a fair price” is evident daily. The chef-owned restaurant is a family affair with Dad cooking, Mom baking and waiting on tables, and son Evan, the “official Tofu Taster”, all of whom welcome locals and visitors who return again and again. A wood fired oven produces many fabulous offerings from fireroasted asparagus to daily pizza selections. Don’t miss the Elvis bathroom, a shrine to the rock-and-roll hero, with valuable artifacts exclusively donated by restaurant patrons. Recently, Cafe Miranda has added retail specialty foods to their repertoire.
