Javier’s Restaurant and Wine Bar

A local favorite for 23 years, Javier’s offers an unique combination of upscale Peruvian cuisine, South American tapas and traditional American favorites. Javier’s commitment to sustainability: 99% of our produce and eggs are organic and/or local – our sources are Global Organics, Albert’s Organics, Yellow Submarine Organic Food Coop, Sarasota Farmers’ Market especially Worden’s Organic Farm. Bread is from Bavarian Bakery, a local bakery, not organic, but 100% natural whole wheat. Coffee is Peruvian organic Fair Trade roasted locally by Sarasota Bay Roasting. As much as possible we buy local or wild seafood from Maggie’s Seafood and Sammy’s Seafood. We use only recycled paper products and biodegradable (sugarcane and cornstarch) to-go containers, cups and straws. We compost all of our vegetative waste in our home garden and organically grow fruits and herbs for the restaurant. We are very water conscious and participate in Sarasota County’s Water Matters Program.
