Enzo’s is a restaurant, guest house and Grotto bar in Provincetown, Cape Cod that serves native seafoods, local produce and wonderful meats with innovation and style. Enzo Owner John Yingling has played an important role in bringing local and organic food to the Cape through his support of Nestwood farm, a Truro farm on which he and his family reside.This land, worked by farmer Criss murphy is one of the largest on the outer cape and has supplied organic local vegetables for Enzo, Blackfish, Juice, Terra Luna and various other local restaurants. John has been interest in organic and local food for many years and this passion has led him to support local food at Enzo, Bubbalas and Spiritus, the three restaurants he owns. Last year, Enzo showed particular attention to local food and showcased a variety of local ingredients through the work of Chef Jeremiah Reardon who is a french trained chef dedicated to seasonal, Provencal menus. Some of the farms included in this effort were Cape Cod Organics, Cedar Spring Farm, Checkerberry Farm and E and T farms. Along with local vegetables, Chef Reardon utilized a variety of free-range organic meats through out the summer especially organic poultry (Guini Hen) and of course the capes freshest seafood. This all was complimented by the use of organic Massachusetts flour, various organic oils (truffle, olive, etc.) and an organic European butter. This upcoming year, Enzo will continue to work with local food and farms and John Yingling will most likely pick his own eggplants or Swiss chard in the vegetables beds behind is house.
