Although Frita Batidos is very casual, it is vitally important to us to maintain the highest standards and aspirations for taste, quality and creativity. The menu follows the seasons and the key ingredients are sourced from local farmers and purveyors. All beef, pork, chicken and turkey is locally sourced from small, humane farms – cheese, produce and other ingredients are sourced from Michigan or the Mid-West whenever possible. Some favorites… Allen Leibowitz of Zingerman’s Coffee (special Frita blend), Bob Sparrow of Kerrytown’s Sparrow Meats (beef, turkey), Microloan Coffee (beans sourced in Honduras), Tantre Farms, Gardenworkds, Black Oak Farms, Eat Local Eat Natural (cheese, ice cream, chicken wings and others), my mom, Marilyn Aronoff (house-made jam), and ZZ’s Market (fresh tropical and exotic ingredients of all kinds).
